New Tutorial Walks Through LSAT Accommodations Process

A new tutorial on LSAC.org provides a step-by-step guide to applying for accommodated testing. Prepared jointly by Communications and Accommodated Testing staff, the tutorial is located in the LSAT/Accommodated Testing section of LSAC.org. Based on the questions that are most often asked, the animated screens walk users through completing the request process. The tutorial specifically discusses completion of the Candidate and Evaluator Forms and is part one of what will be a series of tutorials on requesting test accommodations. Part two will show additional forms that some candidates use. To see the demo, go to www.LSAC.org/LSAT/accommodated-testing.asp.

DiscoverLaw.org - Diversity Matters Award

Those of you who attended the DiscoverLaw.org session at the 2009 LSAC Annual Meeting and Educational Conference know that LSAC plans to promote DiscoverLaw.org to an even greater audience of first- and second-year college students from racial and ethnic groups underrepresented in the legal profession. The Office of Diversity Initiatives is announcing a contest for LSAC-member law schools to promote DiscoverLaw.org and to further demonstrate your law school’s commitment to diversity. Please contact Yessenia García-Lebrón (ygarcia@lsac.org), Troy Riddle (triddle@lsac.org), or Kent Lollis (klollis@lsac.org) if you have questions.

Join the Pipeline Diversity Directory for Legal Education

The American Bar Association and the Law School Admission Council are committed to connecting people and programs through an online searchable database that emphasizes programs and services targeting racially and ethnically diverse students. The goal is to help these diverse students learn about and consider careers in the law and the education routes to the legal profession. In addition, we hope that individuals and organizations will find ideas in the directory to help them start a program, or perhaps replicate or expand an existing project.

We urge you to become part of the exciting and powerful Pipeline Diversity Directory by including any pipeline programs you are currently coordinating.
